Robin Davis
Robin Davis is a Canadian artist currently living in Burlington, Ontario with her husband and son.
Robin took creative courses in college, always drawing and painting when ever she could. She graduated with 2 diplomas. One in Visual Merchandising and the other in Graphic Design.
Robin embarked on a successful career, enjoying Visual Merchandising, Retail Store Development and Marketing Director in the Gift and Craft Industry for 8 years.
In year 2000, Robin and her husband Scott proudly announced the birth of their son Connor. She said the combination of his birth and taking a hard look at her career was the pivotal moment that made her realize that she wanted to be home to raise her son and pursue a career licensing her art.
Robin says she doodles all the time. Many of her creations and characters come from her many small sketchbooks. When she was young she let her imagination take her to wonderful places. Pretending to live in the forest with tiny fairies, wishing she could fly, just to meet the “man on the moon” or going on safari just to ride a giraffe. Robin would draw and paint these adventures, dreaming of becoming an artist one day.
Her mediums include pencil, ink, watercolor, colored pencil and acrylic paints. Many times combining several mediums together.
Robin said that becoming a Mom made her a better artist, exploring the world through her son’s eyes.
Explains Robin, “I believe in following your dreams and taking risks in life.
Thanks to my amazing husband and wonderful son for all their love and encouragement, and for making my dreams come true. Behind every great artist is a group of family and friends who will always believe in you!”
